No march towards parliament for now: Farmer Leaders

Farmer leaders on Wednesday decided to postpone their proposed February 1 march to Parliament. The Farmers has decided to march towards Parliament in September Last year against the Three contentious farm laws passed by the Central government.

A day after tractor rally by the Farmers in Delhi, which resulted into violence and chaos, the farmer unions have declared to postpone their proposed march towards parliament.

The farmers have not declared that they will hold jan-sabhas (Public meetings) and observe one day fast to show their condemnation against the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. 

The farmer leaders said that, their protest will be against the forces that killed mahatma Gandhi.

The farmer Leaders have said that it was a conspiracy that led to violence and chaos in Delhi. Despite police and paramilitary provocation, 99% farmers were peaceful. 

"The rally fell prey to government conspiracy. Some incidents took place. The government put the Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee members in front of blockade put for us but there was no blockade for them," Balbir S Rajewal, Bhartiya Kisan Union (R) said minutes after Delhi Poluce held the presser.

The Delhi police have filed at-least 25 FIR's and more then 200 farmers have been detained and 25 farmers have been arrested.
