Bird Flu confirmed in Delhi: NDMC, Delhi's East and South municipal corporations ban sale of chicken

Bird Flu has been confirmed in Kerala, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra, and now in Delhi also.


The testing of Dead Ducks and Crows have confirmed the spread of Bird Flu in the National Capital on Monday. Delhi government has banned the sale of processed and packaged Chicken brought from outside the city.


Earlier NDMC banned the sale of poultry products in Delhi. Now Delhi's East and South municipal corporation has also banned the sale and storage of poultry or processed Chicken meat in view of the Bird Flu situation.



NDMC has also warned Hotels and Restaurants owners to not serve Egg-based dishes or poultry meat and other products to the customers. If found guilty of doing so the owners of restaurants and hotels will face strict action.


The municipal corporation said, "The order has been issued in the public interest and should be diligently complied. The Ghazipur poultry market has also closed by authorities.


Bird Flu has also been confirmed in Kerala, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
